Facebook advertising is a great way to promote your business online. While Facebook is still working out the kinks (i.e. lack of advertising space on mobile devices), there are a lot of advantages to developing an advertising campaign with Facebook.
1. Ideal Audience
Advertising with Facebook allows you to target your ideal client, within a specific geographic area. For example, it is as easy as a few clicks to target ads to students in the Kingston area between the ages of 18-25, who attend Queen’s University, or St. Lawrence College, or the Royal Military College. As you work through defining your market, Facebook tells you the size of the audience.
2. Good Budgeting
Facebook allows you, the advertiser, to determine how much you want to spend per day. If you only want to spend $10 per day – you can! Or, if you have a larger budget and want to spend $200 per day – you can! Facebook has worked hard to ensure its advertisers are happy, and confident in the service. Once you have developed your ad, simply include your “daily budget” and Facebook will never go over this amount.
3. The Purpose
Why are you advertising? Is it to announce your business’ grand opening? A big weekend sale? Whatever your business’ reason is, make sure that the URL that you direct people to is consistent with the advertisement.
