Over the summer Facebook slowly rolled out the new-and-improved analytics to its page administrators (admins). These new statistics have an improved depth of information about the page, posts, and people. The most useful new information found in the Insights section is the information located under Posts, specifically All Posts Published.
All Posts Published
The first tab keeps track of each post published to your Facebook page, for the past 90 days. At a quick glance, admins can understand the post type, reach, and engagement But wait – there’s more! Admins can click on the post to reveal even further information. As a past economics major, the thought of accumulating more data and statistics makes me really happy!
Organized in a simple and easy-to-understand manner, Post Details provide aggregate information about the number of likes, comments & shares related to that specific post.
Even more interesting, Facebook provides the number of clicks related to that post. You’ll never have to wonder again if people are (or are not) clicking!
Facebook keeps track of your negative feedback, specifically, the number of times it’s been hidden, reported as spam, or unliked the page because of the post.
When Your Fans Are Online
This is one of the most popular questions: “At what times in the day are people using Facebook?” Although there were studies completed previously, admins now have access to this valuable information. Insights indicate to admins the most popular days, in terms of the average number of fans who viewed posts, as well as the most popular times, the average number of fans who saw posts. Understanding these statistics is a great way to develop a social media strategy.
It appears that Fridays are the most popular day, and 9:00pm is the most popular time.
